I Think there is a larger idea in this show that most reviews here and elsewhere are missing. this show is not only about divorce but also about how families take each other for granted; how we can't even se the people standing right next to is who love us , and who we love the most. The show is hard to watch for that reason,Divorce Season 2 DVD and the chill between people is reflected in the frigid setting. There are some real gestures of familial love that occur despite all the alienation; so heartbreaking! Wonderful to see actors with some life experience under their belts and lines etched into thier skin...finally mid-life women are made visible!!!This show, a work of art that is also somewhat commercial in its grittiness,Divorce Season 2 bears absolutely NO relationship to Sex in The City and I have no idea why the NYT would go on and on about this show's relationship to that one except for a simple lack of imagination.
